If the President want to resign her/his job, he/she should address or inform to Honorable Vice president. In the case vice president is not there mean he/she want to inform to Honorable supreme court judge. In the case both of them not there mean while he will inform to Honorable Lok Sabha Speaker. In the same case no one is there in above mentioned all authorities, the president should not resign his/her job until the authorities available. For your extra information from till now there is no one president resign his/her job in Indian history.

For 2)

Indira Gandhi was the first woman of India who received the Bharat Ratna award. Bharat Ratna award given by the recommendation of the prime minister  to the president of India. As like 1947-1964 Prime minister Nehru recommend the Indira Gandhi to president of India.
